BMW continues its trend of innovation with the updated 2025 4 Series Gran Coupe and the all-electric i4, following the recent facelift of the coupe and convertible variants. Under the hood, BMW introduces a significant enhancement in the form of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for the 430i Gran Coupe. This system complements the existing 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, now optimized with the Miller cycle for improved efficiency. The result is a notable increase in power, with the M440i Gran Coupe delivering an impressive 386 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, thanks to the integration of the mild-hybrid technology.
In addition to the powertrain upgrades, both the 4 Series Gran Coupe and i4 receive subtle yet impactful design tweaks. The iconic BMW “Angel Eye” headlights are replaced with a modern kink motif, while adaptive LED headlights and laser rear taillights enhance visibility and aesthetics. Interior enhancements include new steering wheel options and the latest iteration of BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, iDrive 8.5, offering seamless connectivity and intuitive user experience.
While the i4 variants do not see a power increase, they benefit from improved EV route planning and charging capabilities, catering to the growing demand for electric mobility solutions.
