Samsung Set to Unveil Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra
Samsung gears up to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, promising groundbreaking innovation in foldable smartphones. Stay tuned for exclusive insights and updates.
Speculations surrounding the launch of Samsung’s third foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, seem to be gaining traction. Recent reports suggest that this innovative device may indeed hit the shelves, albeit with a twist: it’s slated for release exclusively in South Korea, with no plans for a global rollout.
The source of this intel stems from Android Authority, which claims to have unearthed the smartphone’s model number, SM-F958N, within its database. This alphanumeric designation aligns with Samsung’s past naming conventions, particularly the utilization of ‘eight’ in model numbers to denote Ultra variants. Drawing comparisons with previous releases, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928x), underscores this consistent pattern.
Furthermore, the report reveals only a solitary model number for the Fold 6 Ultra, suggesting its restricted availability. The inclusion of ‘N’ in the model number signifies its targeted release in the South Korean market, lending credence to the notion that it may remain exclusive to this region.
In a separate development, Android Authority hints at the imminent arrival of two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE. Positioned as successors to the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, these wearables are poised to spearhead the Watch 7 series. Notably, the Classic variant will bid adieu, making way for the FE and Ultra iterations.
The report identifies three model numbers (SM-L705U, SM-L705N, and SM-L705F) associated with the Watch Ultra, indicating its availability across South Korea, the US, and globally. Similarly, the Watch FE variant boasts three model numbers (SM-R866F, SM-R866U, and SM-R866N), affirming its global accessibility.
While the report refrains from divulging a precise launch date for these smartwatches, the historical context suggests a potential unveiling at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July. Given that the Watch 6 series made its debut in August 2023, anticipation mounts for the introduction of the Watch 7 series, alongside the much-anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, in the coming months.
